Eneri Platforms Limited intends to pioneer private sector participation in developing commercial forest plantations in Zambia, while also integrating its partners into the beekeeping value chain. Phase 1 of the Tree Growers Project will establish 3210 hectares consisting of exotic pine and eucalyptus, as well as suitable indigenous tree species by 2024. The company aims to achieve this by partnering with numerous farmers countrywide and providing them with the key inputs and training to successfully establish and manage the plantations.
Ninza is the founder and vision carrier at Eneri. His work at CFC led him to innovate around a compelling sustainability challenge. His skills from an engineering and management consulting background are crucial in the execution of the company’s objectives. Engaging various stakeholders including partner farmers, financial institutions, local authorities as well as hosting numerous seminars and public gatherings are some of the many roles he dons, bridging the information gaps around Eneri Platforms' vision.
Nkumbu brings in experience spanning over 10 years in financial management and operations in the Forestry Sector. At Eneri, she’s responsible for implementing and managing financial systems as well as the firm’s human resource. She also plays a key role in strategic formulation and implementation.
As Operations Manager, Kafula is responsible for effective co-ordination of projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising.
In alignment with our Tree Growers Project, Kafula manages third party financial contributions and monitors expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits.
Having previously worked in commercial sales, Manyile is responsible for the onboarding and management of our partnering farmers. With her experience gained from working in the conveyancing and litigation departments at Simeza, Sangwa and Associates Advocates, Manyile also conducts investigations on land ownership with The Ministry of Lands to ensure that all contractual and statutory obligations under the project are adhered to
Having worked as Plantations and Logging Foreman at Copperbelt Forestry Company for over 10 years, Lawrence has extensive experience in raising and transplanting seedlings. His education background in Forestry provides him with the necessary knowledge for successful plantations establishment. At CFC, Lawrence has overseen over 200 hectares of newly established plantations and has an in-depth understanding of silvicultural operations. As Nurseries and Plantations Manager under our tree out-growers program, Lawrence provides technical guidance on nursery activities as well as farmer support on already established plantations.
